The merging of two musical worlds, aligning Yin and Yang, East and West - that's what "ASIMA" is all about. The listener finds himself on a journey through time and culture. Traditional works of the Far East and current, Western music such as Rock, Jazz and Electro complement each other to form something new and unheard. It's an encounter in which the majestic colors of the erhu (Chinese violin), the guzheng (Chinese zither) and the dizi (bamboo flute) unite with a groovy jazz rhythm section (guitar, keys, bass, drums) and a voice.
Eight internationally renowned artists from Asia and Europe enter into a dialogue between yin and yang, giving expression to opposites, interaction and changeability. "ASIMA" has already been performed successfully in various cities in Switzerland (Bern, Sion, Neuchâtel); the new album "ReSource" was released in May 2022. With "ASIMA" the composer Nicolas Fardel has created his own universe, always looking for the subtle balance between traditional themes from Asia and European melodies.
